    The Ridgeback Voyage, capable of exploring those remote destinations. Traditional geometry using modern technology. The perfect bike for those daily rides or two week tours and if you really like your touring, Lands end to John'O'Groats.

    See the new Voyage at John's Bikes Christmas Cracker open evening Friday 19th November 5:30 - 9:30.

    We will have new bikes, electric bikes, Italian bikes, and a Tour de France time trial bike - very expensive. There's a book signing and the latest GPS system from Garmin - perfect at last!

    We'll have wooden Balance bikes for tiny tots and lots of bikes for older children.

    There will even be a Fashion show with Antonia Maybury, of Water off a Ducks Back, with her new women's cycling Macintosh.

    Lots for everyone! Come and have some mulled wine and mince pies.

    Back in stock and ready for your winter getaway to sunnier climes the Ridgeback Panorama is a fully equipped touring bike ready for the open road. The bike is both comfortable and stable under load thanks to its Reynolds 725 tubing, comes equipped with Shimano Tiagra/XT gearing and reliable Deore hubs. Full mudguards, front and rear pannier racks come fitted as well as bottle cages for your hydration needs!     Trek 2011 Electric bikes are now in stock. Looking for a bike that can handle with ease all the hills around bath without you breaking a sweat? The Ride+ bike is capable of transporting you easily up the steepest Bath hills, drop down to the shop and try it on the ever so steep Gays hill down the road from the shop, this test will not fail to put a grin on your face! Alongside this have a look at the carbon footprint offset and the efficiency of this bike detailed in the notes below and be amazed my the cost of running this bike, less than £1 a month!

    250 W for 3 hour charge...
    3 hour Charge x 0,250 = 0.75 kWh
    Full Battery will give approx
    45 Miles - Level 1 Assist
    31 Miles - Level 2 Assist
    25 Miles - Level 3 Assist
    12 Miles - Level 4 Assist
    Commuting 12 miles per day on Level 4 Assist will require 1 full charge a day = 0,45kWh.
    Charging the battery from Grid Electricity uses the following conversion: 0.544                    

    Carbon Emissions:                         

    0.45 kWh = 0.45 x 0.544 = 0.2448 KgCO2e
    1 day commute = 0.2448 kgCO2e
    5 days commute = 1.22 kgCO2e
    20 days commute (1 month) = 4.89 kgCO2e                               

    Cost of Charging the Battery :                              

    0.45kw charge per day x 20 days = 9 kWh
    9 kW x 0.10p per kWh  = £0.90 per month

    Just arrived are these two new models of balance bike - the Early Rider Lite and the Early Rider Classic. Aimed at ages 1-4 and 2-5 respectively, these funky little wooden bikes introduce young children to the world of bikes in a safe and innovative way.
